Default Wheel bearing advise...

So I am pretty sure my wheel bearings are going out. The road noise is killing me. I have 63k on her, is that premature? I read the wheel bearing replacement write up and it sounds like the hub shark is not the best bet? A press sounds more reliable, but requires the removal of the a-arm/control arm?

I was looking at ECS which sells these around 56 bucks a pop. Is that the best bet? I am just get tired of paying shops to do work when I can save money and have the pride of doing the work myself.

Might have to give Cody's garage a 12 ton press =)<ul><li><a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=1667">http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=1667</a</li></ul>

Default I replaced my first one at 50k (RR). Second one at about 65k (RF). Just did LR and RR #2 a month ago

That adds up to 4 bearings. I'm still on the original LF bearing though. When it craps out, I'll buy a press (or rent some time on Cody's

Default I did the first one with help from my dad's buddy and the hydraulic press at his diesel shop

I'm thinking that's what probably shortened it's life, which is why I had to have it replaced twice (the RR bearing). At any rate, it took us about 4 hours, only because of the rusted ABS sensor. If everything came apart reasonably well, it shouldn't take more than 2hours for each bearing.

Also, you might want to look into doing your brakes at the same time. It's not a requirement, but it's all coming off anyways.
