Default Reason? Coolant mixed with oil is prob a frequent occurance

I'm all about not dumping it in the first sandlot, but I don't see the reasoning to the objection of letting Wal Mart take it with the oil

Sure it is handled by pure dillution. But if everyone starts to do it then not such a hot idea. Remember that even your treated Poo poo goes in a river at some point.

Default Walmart recycles. They don't flush the stuff down a Sams Club-sized toilet

At least, not to my knowledge.

Default Sure they do ;)

Antifreeze is toxic to humans and animals. Waste antifreeze contains heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and chromium in high enough levels to potentially make it a regulated hazardous waste, so most states strictly regulate antifreeze disposal. Antifreeze generators and state and local programs should not dump spent antifreeze on land or discharge it into a sanitary sewer, storm drain, ditch, dry well, or septic system; dumping antifreeze can cause serious water quality problems and might harm people, pets, or wildlife.

http://www.epa.gov/msw/antifree.htm</a
