Getting new tires and wheels for 2.7T A6. Wondering about 17" Nokian RW for winter tires. Drive up to the mountains to ski and commute in Denver. Would like opinions on dry pavement in Denver and especially in snow and winter conditions up in the mountains. Thanks

My wife and I both run the RWs. Her's are 225/45-17 on 17x8 BBSs for an A6 4.2. Mine are the same size on a 93 urS4. Very happy with the dry and snow performance. We live in Evergreen.

in all seriousness, they have great snow traction, respectable dry traction and decent ice traction (worst part of them).
I'd hit them again.

I was thinking of them for winter tires, but considering all season. I drive up to Winter Park to ski frequently and have a cabin in Fraser? Berthoud Pass can get pretty nasty in the Winter.
How do you think they compare to my OEM PIrelli P6 tires for summer? Thanks

You'll tear them up too quick. Get a winter and summer set and be happy. I've been pleased with the Dunlop Wintersports and the PZero Nero's for my combo. If I had to do it all over again, I would definately hit the Dunlops again, might change to something else (Pilots maybe) for the next summer set. The Nero has been great, although they tramline alot and a are tad noisy.
BTW, the P6's are ****e. Even the Pzero Nero M&S would be a better all season tire. Some swear by the Conti's, but I also see alot of vibration/balancing problems and complaints on them.
