25,000 mile check up next Monday and other than a broken arm pad ....

once the warning light is on, they change your brake pads, but the rotors are measured
if they are within the tolerance no need to replace, but once they get thinner than the tolerance specs, they replace them under warrantee
I had my brake pads changed at 30k. The rotors were warn but still in spec.
My armrest was also replaced (the commonly break on all Audi models accept the A8 where the design is very different.
Getting one for the RS6 took two weeks. I had an appointment to have the rotors checked before they would even order the pads and/or rotors, and they ordered the arm rest at that time.
The new Grill was not in and the Onstar was not in, but they did the brakes, oil service, etc, and the armrest in about three hours.
Great service.
A4 loaner was 'ok'.

Re: Carried by 6 or judged by 12 its your call but I would rather be ready than not and
as far as accidental discharge I am willing to take the chance.
Long as you keep your finger off the trigger nothing will happen
And when your finger in on trigger use it.
Plus my doors are on auto lock so that should not happen to easily.

Your doors work on auto lock? In the older audis they had a neat little spot that
was under the steering wheel...great place to keep a weapon. I do carry a pistol when traveling a long distance..but never around on day to day travels. But I would never have on sitting on my lap unless I was driving through Watts! Where did the carjacking happen?
