Default Any recommendations for track wheels and tires for the RS6?

I ran my Toyo T1R's last weekend, I'd like a more dedicated track set-up. Sources?

Default How hard core do you want to go? You want something lightweight, that's for sure. Check out the

Kosei K1-TS for a wheel. It's lightweight at around 17-18 lbs. in the 18" variety, cheap at about $265, very durable and has a dual bolt pattern for Audi and VW. Nice thing about that is you double your sales potential down the road if you decide to get rid of them. They also make a K3 and a couple other varieties.

For tires, either go with Sport Cups or if you're brave like I am, run Hoosiers.

Default Strength and 9.5" width are first priorities. Lighter weight is secondary, but nice.

I ran the pilot sport cups on my S6 Avant and loved them.

Volk RE30 racing wheels, forged, strong, light, and they come in euro fitment 5x112 bolt pattern with an ET35 offset.

Ran them on my brother's RS6 and my wife's B6 S4. They are plenty strong.

Default Hey Jim - was in a similar boat. Selection seemed limited in 5x112 wider than 8.5 / 9"

Lots of options if you're willing to redrill 5.114.3, which is barely anything. A few enkei's stand out in my head...

Enkei NT03 M
18x9.5
5x114.3
ET27
19lbs
$292
<img src="http://edgeracing.com/images/wheel/enkei_wheel_nt03_m_(silver)_front_zoom.jpg">

Enkei GTC01
18x9.5
5.114.3
ET38 (run 10mm spacer?)
23lbs
$457
<img src="http://edgeracing.com/images/wheel/enkei_wheel_gtc_01_(hyper_black)_front_zoom.jpg">

Enkei RPF1
18x9.5
5x114.3
ET38 (run 10mm spacer?)
19lbs
$324
<img src="http://edgeracing.com/images/wheel/enkei_wheel_rpf1_(silver)_front_zoom.jpg">

Used to run RPF1's and they were nice and strong. Good brake clearance.

I ended up opting for 18x9 OZ Superleggeras that Ben Bauer sold me.

Good luck,

R

Default Thanks Robert. That's what I'm realizing; the Neuspeeds I run for street are

5 x 114's that were drilled out to 5 x 112. Can't even notice it. Have you tracked you RS yet?

Default Sure thing, Jim - good luck with the search...

And no, still putting the car together. Not sure if you talked with Kris, but "it" (not really an RS) won't be done for a little while, but should be a hoot when it's finished.

Will definitely be out to your area to drive some tracks with you guys next year when I have a running car again. Can't wait!

PS - the Neuspeeds look fantastic on your car. Was thinking of running them as well but ended up going with some 18" RC's. What size are those? I figured they must have been 19's, but since you've redrilled, guessing I was wrong?
