Default Audi V60i phone

Welp I go my V60i last weekend and am looking forward to trying it out in my car. It was a negotiated throw in with my RS6 from the dealer . Its a nice looking phone, cant wait to try living with it.

I had the phone prep so why not have the phone too. Anyone out there with experiences with their RS6 phone system??

As a stand-alone phone it's not the greatest. Reception is weak, at least with AT&T service. But it integrates into the telematics system really well. Only glitches are that the microphone doesn't do well with background noise, and occasionally the car doesn't recognize that the phone is in the cradle. A new cradle helped but this still happens occasionally.

I got it with my Beast and I've had no problems with reception. In fact, I prefer the call quality and phone design to my previous Nokia 8260. The armrest cradle isn't the easiest to use, however, and the lack of buttons on the steering wheel is annoying. It is possible to have a nice, sporty steering wheel with integrated buttons (just look at the M3)!

I was hoping that the integrated phone has noise cancellation and echo cancellation when used with the on star system. Any good car kit should have quality audio processing....

I will report when I get everything sorted.

good for you for getting it thrown in, other wise it is a rip off.

Phone has been activated and I really like it as a stylish backup and carphone to my regular line sony T616. Aftermarket professional install car kit is much better as it affords the latest phone models and features, but the Audi phone makes a good OEM carphone, but at a price that is almost prohibitive in most cases. Happy talkin and happy driving! : )
