Awful A6 Steering

My RS6 is at the dealer for the 35,000 mile service. They gave me a brand new (11 miles) A6 3.2 as a loaner. I know it is an apples to oranges comparison compared to the RS6, but I found the steering on the A6 to be just awful -- way over-boosted, no road feel and the steering wheel does not self-center after most turns. I hope that is no reflection on the next generation RS6. Was the steering in the previous A6 that bad too?

This applies to both the C5 and the C6 A6s. With the exception of Motor Trend (who jerks people off a lot-maybe even most of the time-with their road and comparison tests-especially with Audis other than the D3 A8/A8L/S8-BMWs are the significant exception to this rule), every magazine on the planet says that the C6 A6's steering is better or much better than the C5 A6's steering. The new RS 6's steering should be even better than the previous RS 6's steering.

If it did not have the "Fishmouth", it was a 2004. 2005+ A6s have better or much better steering that 1998-2004 A6s according to all magazines except the bozos at Motor Trend (who tend to jerk people off like crazy when it comes to cars other than BMW-especially Audis other than the D3 A8/A8L/S8).
