Default Brake cooling upgrade

Getting ready to do my brakes and figured I would do the cooling upgrade listed in the tech articles section. I went to my local VW dealer to order the backing plates, cooling ducts and bolts. The backing plates are on back order and have to come off the assembly line, ETA is 1 month. The air duct part numbers listed in the tech article, 3d0 615 447d & 3d0 615 448d, are listed for the Chinese assembled Phaeton only and not available to US dealers. My parts guy looked up the air ducts for an 05 Phaeton and the numbers are correct but still unavailable. He was able to cross reference the part numbers to new numbers, 3do 615 447e & 3do 615 448e but said these are listed for the 17" wheel where the "d" part number is for 18" wheels. Has anyone come across this issue when doing this upgrade? Is the upgrade worth the 1 month wait for the backing plates and the possibility that the air ducts will be too small? Thanks...

Try www.worldimpex.com. They are usually good about parts like these.
