Default They can be refinished, but...

they will not look factory perfect. They actually might be a shade off, sicne the hyper-silver paint used by the factory contains lead which is illegal for any shops in the US to use.

Wheel repair places are getting better, but I have yet to see a refinished wheel (RS6, Ultrasport, or S-line) come out looking as shiny as the original wheel.

Are the curbed wheels on the same side of the car? If so, then maybe not a big deal, since they will match. Check the dealer for a recommendation for a good wheel repair shop locally.

If you want to start fresh with new ones, you could always try your luck on eBay or the calssifieds, but I doubt you'll find a pair of NEW RS6 wheels. Most of the ones I have seen listed are weither used and curbed already, or refinished sets. Perhaps an oddball single refinished wheel.

Sorry to hear about the curbage after only a week of ownership. Good luck!!!

Default Re: problem is that no one can duplicate the color on a wheel to a ....

dead match .
Well atleast here in atlanta they can't.
I am currantly working to get audi to replace my 4 wheels on the car considering that the coating is flaking off.
I have seen the re-finished wheels here and they don't match !! IMO
Plus I don't think that any re-finisher of wheels can put the clear coat on like the factory.
All the re-finisher does is PAINT them and when the heat starts generating , the paint will flake/peel off.
Been there and done that and not too impressed with it.

Default

Depends on the repair I think, if one's repairing both wheels on the same side, it's ok.

Default I had 2 wheels refinished 33,000 miles ago; they look fine.

One has some more recent curb rash, but that's my fault. No flaking. Rotation means they've spent at least 15K mi at the hotter front end. If there's a color difference, I have to squint and concentrate to see it.
