255/35 19 rub due to their sidewall construction, we are trying the PS2s in 245/35 19 today but I am a little concerned about the width reduction. 1/2" or so. Is it crazy to do the rears as 255/35 and the fronts as 245, or just find a tire in 255/35 with a more rounded profile at the sidewall that will not hit the control arm (assuming some other one will fit)...and then what tires recommended...

little bit of research and thanks to a poster on RS6.com from Europe that let me know the tire I wanted does indeed exist...Well for those of us in the United States who want the Michelin PS2s in the 255/35 19 XL, today I made it possible as they were only being shipped to Europe since we do not have 19s as an option on our cars and yes the tire was explicitly made for Audi's (RS6+)with the 19" wheels. Working with Discount Tire we called Michelin direct and with a conference call that connected a tire engineer and 3 customer service reps we got them to figure out that indeed the tire does exist without the inner rim protector lip and 300 of them are at their warehouse in Michigan and now they will release it for sale in the Discount Tire system nationwide (as it was not for sale until today in the states thank you very much), this is only for the 255/35 19 XL size as the 18s do not have the problem of being too wide and hitting the control arm. HOWEVER and this is the important part...the number for the listing (in the states anyway) is 14875. There is 4 versions of this tire in this size so this is the only number that works, the other three have the rim protector on both sides.
Four tires are on the way so I'll know next week if it all really works out, can't wait, the OEM 5 spokes in titanium finish look really good on my car (for the 5 minutes they were on before all this)...so for anyone that wants to use Michelin PS2s on 19 x 9 (35 offset) wheels the number above is the one needed so that there is no rubbing on the control arms. Whew. Thank god for the amount this is costing me and I really wanted these tires.

that pot hole that is gonna blow the tire and bend the rim, so I am out of luck either way. At least now the replacement tire is only two days shipping time away unlike 2 months for the wheel. Thats what I need another one of.
