I'm looking at a used RS6 although it has high mileage (62K). Since it's not a certified used, I was wondering if there are any major issues with this vehicle. I know I'm taking a chance with 62K on the odometer and would appreciate any input as to potential (and expensive) problems. Thanks

Actually, things can break on these cars, and if you search the forum or just read down a few posts, you will see some common issues. My advice is pay extra and get one with lower miles and at least a year or two of CPO or similar warranty.

But aside from one achilles heel - the DRC suspension - I have not read of any common failure points. Worst-case scenario on the DRC is that you would replace it with a $2500 (Bilstein) or $4500 (Stasis-Ohlins) setup.
70K is a major service interval (every 35K), which will cost about $2000-2500 mainly due to the timing belt replacement.
My car has almost 60K miles - have had it for about 3K and love it. I chipped it (O.CT) and the power/torque is ridiculous!

I figure my dealership has done close to $10,000 (retail) worth of work on my car. Between DRC, a bad alternator, faulty O2 sensors and regular maintenance it can add up quick if you are footing the bill.
