Default New Oil Leak
Folks,

Just had the 36K service about a week and a half ago. Have about 1K miles on it since. Noticed a fairly sizable oil leak yesterday. I've had a valvecover gasket leak before (14K miles) that was repaired. Had "funny" smell, which I couln't identify. Car went to dealer yesterday for service on Monday. I think HyOctane had something similar. Did a search, but couldn't figure out what the problem was. Any help?

Default Nope. My leak was from a bad tranny output shaft seal.. No engine leaks (yet)..
And that tranny fluid really stinks when it smokes...

That was gear lube. Tranny fluid has no access to the output seals.

Default Report back is it's an oil cooler seal that went bad
Nothing major. Thankfully. But, naturally, they don't have the part!
