If that, I may opt for a lowly beater next April when this goes back.
Still hard to fathom how I justify paying $1100/month for a car that I've driven 7k miles total in 2 years!!! ROFLMAO!
Smart money would be to keep her, because by next year, I should have a fairly low mileage vehicle given the age.
But, like you Phil, I'm looking at rotors/pads, and probably the timing belt soon as well.
If I was to buy another high-performance ride, I really, REALLY like the Cayman. It might be worth a look.

That's according to Automobile magazine, April 08 issue, page 39. Couldn't find link but I read my hard copy again last night. My dealers in MI and FL agree, unofficially at least, saying they have heard nothing. Audi doesn't announce what they won't be bringing here; they announce what will be brought, and the word so far is ... crickets.
I've owned mine since new, have tried to check out everything coming out that might replace it, and so far there's nothing. You'll need to sacrifice something: it's mid-size four door practicality, the horsepower/torque, or AWD.
That's why I've decided to keep mine indefinitely. Yeah, it's costly to maintain, but buying even a pricey extended warranty is cheaper than replacing the RS6 with something new, and I hesitate to buy used when high horsepower is a criterium.
The last thing I want to do is fork over a bunch of money for a new car that I like less than the old one.
