11-15 city, 20-22 hwy
City mileage sucks when there's frequent stop-and-go, or when I drive aggressively. Hwy mileage given is for driving 70-79 mph; slower = better mileage.
In fact, when I'm cruising secondary roads at around 50-60, the real time reading shows 25-30 mpg! It's the stopping and starting up of 2+ tons that makes mileage drop.
I've found the computer on my RS6 is about 1 mpg too optimistic in its averaging of mpg, just like my previous Audis. Figures given here are based on calculations after multiple fill-ups, not the computer.
