RS6 vs E55...discuss...

Something is wrong with those figures
Now that I've sold my S4 I don't have the specs handly, but I know it weighed under 4000 lbs. and the A4 1.8T I owned before that was much less.
Also, as I said, I measured both cars from rear door interior to rear door interior, which I would call rear shoulder room, and the RS6 was exactly the same as my B5 S4. And the Passat, B5 S4, A6 and RS6 all derive from the same platform. Yet the figures you list show 55.7" rear shoulder room for the RS6 vs. 45.1 for the S4? Just doesn't make sense because although I didn't write down my measurement, I did it twice because I was so surprised.
Where did your data come from?

X5 has small cargo space. I owned one and you can have it. POS.
Nothing but one big electronic gremlin. Engine and trans were great, everything else designed for creature comforts worked only when it felt like it.

These are your typical X5 problems....

Interesting. So here's my offer:
I will pay $100 to anyone who can prove there is a significant difference in the rear seat interior width of a B5 S4/A4 compared to an RS6. By significant I mean 1" or more.
I use Edmunds a lot and rely on their used car appraisals, but I know what I saw and they are wrong on this one. I'm backing that up as best I can with this offer.

Re: At what part of the door should it be measured? I'll measure mine for you.
I simply measured from the left inside door panel to the right inside door panel, rear of rear seat door, window level.
As said before, I don't recall the width, but my point is that the width of the RS6 was the same as my S4. Do you have a way to measure both?
