Default Do you need to drop the tranny for the seal though?

If the tranny needs to be dropped for the seal the dealer will definitley charge you more than $450 for the service. MGH

No, lower seal done from below, and the filter, strainer and another seal.

Default and oil leaks

It started as a simple valve gasket. They corrected it...then oil leak continued, then it was cam seals on left so engine pulled again. Car given back and oil leak continued. Then it was the left side turbo so both turbos had to be replaced and engine pulled again. It was a 3 month ordeal.

They stated the leaks were "masking" the various sources of the leaks.
