Watchout for these little cars! They can catch you off guard!
We both launch off the line and I easily outpaced him but it's no slouch whatsoever. Kept it to an easy 65MPH pace until he pulls up next to me and wants to go. Empty highway on an early Sunday morning makes for some fun blasts up to triple digits and right back down again to prove a point or two. He was ahead of me expecting me to go but I didn't bite at first. Of course my competitive juices started flowing and I hammered it. He already had a 3 car lead on me and was pulling away by the time I decided to go for it. Not exactly a fair race but that's ok, I thought I needed to handicap him.
So, I punch it, catch him, and am ahead of him by 6 car lengths up to 120 MPH all in about 5-7 seconds. Again, not really close but very respectable considering it's not the 227 HP version nor the 300HP version.

I don't get your attitude on that one.....why pond scum?
The Subaru is fast, and nibble, and inexpensive! Those driving them can't afford $85,000 cars, but they are auto enthusiasts just like you and me. I would not call them pond scum.
Face it the Japanese Car co's are making cars that are a fraction of the cost of an RS6 and as fast or faster...big deal, go buy one yourself...

Not so sure about the claimed performance...
One tried to beat me to a merge and with little effort I left him several lengths behind. His lane was closing down in 200 ft from a light and he clearly thought he had more than a chance. I was ignorant of the vehicle so I let him have almost a carlength jump off the line. I just squeezed the throttle and eased out on the clutch and by the time I shifted at 6k I was slightly in front. By 6k in 2nd I had him by almost two car lengths.
I was pretty impressed myself so I let him go by just to see what it was. But a 13.8 1/4? I doubt it.
