water leaking from under car... ideas??
Just took the new car out for the weekend up to New England and upstate NY. Totally incredible. The car was just made for running down country roads.
At rest stops I found that water was dripping out from under the car - somewhere between a fast drip and a slow stream, from the passenger side, somewhere near the front tire. I think this is related to the air conditioner, but not sure.
Before I call my dealer in a panic, has anyone experienced this?
Thanks.

Condensation from the AC.......
....put a cup under it and verify that it is plain water.
This is pefectrly normal. AC works by cooling the air. Because the AC components get very cold, water from the usually humid air condenses on the outside and then drips down. It is most noticeable after the AC has been used a lot or it is very humid. Your house AC also has a drain that does the same thing.......

Re: Condensation from the AC.......
It did look/smell like water. But there was more than I would have expected from condensation - not just a few drops. Could probably have filled a cup in 5-10 minutes.

Re: Mine pours out too. Leaves a solid line of water in my driveway as I pull into the garage.
Glad to hear it - that describes the situation exactly.
I wasn't ready to give up the car back to the dealer yet.
