Default Wood Trim v. Carbon Trim; Pics?

I am looking at 2 different beasts. One has the carbon trim package and the other wood. Does the wood package only come in the grey colored wood? How does it look in person? Any pictures of it? Which do people prefer? FYI, in case it matters with the wood -- I like the light silver colored seats as I live in a hot climate.

Default Go with CF!!! No contest!

Wood only came in one color.
If you have the Silver seats, just like me, the CF looks incredible. What's the outside color?

I met a couple of other RS6 owners that when they saw the CF, they wished they could have been able to choose that too. They got the car after it was already at dealership, so they got stuck with what was ordered by the dealer originally.

Just like what RTFM said, silver leather with Carbon Fiber trim is the best combo. I'll take some pics, once i get a chance to do so. =)

Default I have seen the wood trim and it looks very nice..

also really didn't want the carbon trim at first but quickly loved it. Both are nice.

Default I have the wood trim but am prob. going to swap it out for CF trim. My old 4.2 had the nice wood

trim and I think it was a little more appropriate for that car. This RS6 is so sporty that the wood trim, while nice, seems a little out of place in the interior.

http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/66235/rs6_004.jpg</a

I had the same wood as RS6 in my 2000 black S4. It was OK but I really prefer a lighter wood & my RS6 salesman said only the dark wood is available for the RS6 (in the US at least). So I ordered carbon fiber. It has a high tech look which, for me, is OK for a change from the dark wood. But I'd really like a lighter colored wood; unfortunately it's not available, unless I find someone with an A6 who has it & wants to swap. Patterns are the same.

Or, I could order the lighter wood thru the dealer, but I was quoted a price of $1600 & don't want to pay that much. Or anything, if I can help it! A switch would be nice but it's not that important to me.

Default The wood pattern around the shifter is not the same as an A6. And, the wood in an RS6

is different than the wood in the other A6's. It's neither light nor dark. It's it's own shade of gray. Not a huge fan of it, but again, I'll probably get the CF interior soon.

Default RS6 wood may not be in other A6s, but it was in my 2000 S4

I drove my black/black S4 for three years & still had it when I saw the only RS6 wood available in the US. It is the same wood.

FL dealer said the RS6 shifter area was the same as an A6. But I will check further before swapping, thanks to your tip!
