Wood Trim v. Carbon Trim; Pics?

Its the same after 2002. Its always been the same on the S6.

The 98-01's did not have Sport mode, which means they were a half inch wider to accomodate the 2,3,4,P,N,R,D settings.
All RS 6's will be fine as long as the use wood from a 02-04 A6 3.0, 2.7T, 4.2 or S6.
FWIW dealer quoted $1500 for the Carbon Trim. I bought mine from eBay Germany for $500 and sold my old trim to a dent puller for $200 in repairs as trade.

Depends on interior color...I have found a set of RS6 carbon fiber trim for my A6...
and I love it! Looks great with black, but not that great with tan color interiors. I had to modify the part around the shifter (the opening had to be milled a bit larger...no Sport mode in 2001 tiptronic), but you RS6 folks do not have to worry about that.
And yes, that is the RS6 shift **** as well...
