SUV Winter Tires on RS7?
Hello all. as you know I'm a hard-core researcher. Over the past two weeks I have spoken to 13 tires specialists and recently had a recommendation that really took me by surprise.
With the RS7, as you all know, 20" rims are the smallest option due to the immense calipers. I was talking to a tire rep in Omaha yesterday and, after a few hours on the phone, he decided that the Nokian Hakka R2 SUV tires would easily be the best choice for winter tires for the RS7. This is based off of the load rating of the tire being 106 (RS7 states that 102 is the minimum recommended).
These tires are a full two inches taller than the Hakka R2's for passenger cars, which was a bit strange to me, but he GUARANTEED that they would fit perfectly with zero problems and function better than any other Nokian product.
Have any of you ever heard this?

I've decided on Nokian, no doubt about it. Want the Hakkapeliita R2 preferably, don't need studs. Don't want Pirelli Scottozero, Continental WinterContact, Bridgestone Blizzak, etc etc. None of the Nokian reps seem that bright, but they haven't seen the wheels, and most people know nothing about the RS7 and the monster callipers.

Pretty sure if you add two inches to the overall diameter that you will rub. And adding two inches is increasing the diameter by 7% - I don't know of anyone that would recommend doing that. That guy has no idea what he is talking about.

Funny, I just put together a package for an RS7 with 20" wheels for $2621. It had Pirelli Sottozero tires, which I have used on a Porsche 911 with great success.

i would be really interested to see the mounting and how it looks on the car.
My biggest concern would be rubbing...
I think Audi factory fitment for the RS7 is a 265/40-20 if i am not mistaken...
