Never gotten the avg. that low with "any" highway as part of the mix.

Default Actually no...if you used kilometers instead of miles...
your gas mileage would be incredible. there are a lot more kilometers to be had in a tank of gas than there are miles.

in a gallon.

divide gals by kilometers in the first line of your post. i'm sure it was just a typo on your part...i know what you meant : )

I think we found your problem...the tank holds 16.6 gallons, not 14.5.

just has that all over his mind right now.

that or those little trips to the wine and sprits store he talked about...which are killing his gas mileage, and evidently his judgement too.
