the same thing it said in the VAG owner manuals for the 1.8T of past years...you know, the recommended oil and interval that caused the major oil sludge issue that resulted in the TSB we all live under now(i.e. Audi approved oil list).
Just because a mfgr under major free maint cost obligations further extends out their service intervals to defray costs, doesn't make it right, or wise. If you feel comfortable leaving any oil in for 20k(or even 10k), then go for it. But that is WAY too long for me.

The people who tend not to sweat long oil change intervals are...
probably leasing their cars, in which case I say no problem! But, if you plunked down that kind of moeny to own a car, then 10k oil change intervals is not worth the risk, IMO.
I'm sure th RS4 states 5k for first change, abd then 10k thereafter. But 20k for the Cayman??!! On what planet?

I'm not disputing what you're saying, or that it may be Porsche's recommendation. I just think the 20k oil change is nuts. Seriously, what's up with that?
