Default 2007 S8 brake rotors - $119 while 2007 RS4 brake rotors - $349
Anyone care to explain how Audi gets off screwing us RS4 owners on 14.4 inch cross drilled rotors as compared to the S8's 15 inch cross drilled rotors?

I think this is B.S.

We need to get a letter out to Audi complaining about this brake rotor wear issue, and then the cash grab as well. Who's with me?

B/c without one AOA will just tell people it's the first they heard of it like they always do.

Default My guess is audi is charging more for the rotors because it came from the Lambo bin.
or they feel they can since RS4 is a top of the line limited production car.

Default You sure they quoted the right year S8 to you?
I don't think I could even buy S4 rotors at $119 from the dealer.

I doubt they are the same rotor. I bet the RS4 rotors are lighter

Default S8 rotors are not the same design, heavier, not the same float system...
etc. The RS4 rotors have a better floating system and aluminum hats, the S8 units have a pin style floating system with cast hats like the RS6, heavier and possibly more likely to warp/have heat issues.

...but I don't believe the standard brakes on the S8 are cross-drilled, either...just ventilated.

are you sure the rs4 ROTORS are 349?!? I was told alot more by my dealer.
