I've driven both and agree with your assessment.

Default Great roads there - as I lived there for over 25yrs. but just find driving a car

hard with the top down is not a safe thing - as well as the fact that the frame is not as rigid

but I'm not a spyder kind of person - I've oned one in the past and found I like steel around me - except for a sunroof.

Default top up? who drives a cabrio with the top up?

true story: when I was in my early 20's living in So Cal, I had a convertible VW beetle with a broken top. I drove it for 1 year and never got rained on once. It got cold a few nights in the winter, but that's what jackets & gloves are for!

Default boxster?

rs4 and m3 are great options but have you considered a boxster? If that is out I would go for the rs4, easier car to live with.

Default I have considered the Boxster S...

However if I'm gonna get a P-Car in lieu of the RS4 or M3, I'd go for the tt-cab or better yet, a GT3. Those however at this point are a bit price restrictive.

I'm too old for video games in a car when it comes to shifting.
