hard with the top down is not a safe thing - as well as the fact that the frame is not as rigid
but I'm not a spyder kind of person - I've oned one in the past and found I like steel around me - except for a sunroof.

true story: when I was in my early 20's living in So Cal, I had a convertible VW beetle with a broken top. I drove it for 1 year and never got rained on once. It got cold a few nights in the winter, but that's what jackets & gloves are for!

However if I'm gonna get a P-Car in lieu of the RS4 or M3, I'd go for the tt-cab or better yet, a GT3. Those however at this point are a bit price restrictive.
