Default Two things

One, your car is one sexy bitch with those wheels.

Two, I am having the lemon talk with Audi tomorrow. The car is going in on Tuesday, but I have already asked for the warranty manager to give me a call tomorrow. I will call Tuesday if I don't hear from him.

We are all enthusiasts here. I love this car. I really do. When it is good, there is nothing like this. It is an amazing machine. I just have a bad one.

I am not sure what I will get to replace it. I am thinking used M5, new M3 or maybe a P-car. I don't know. The RS4 is a unique beast and nothing quite equates to it. I don't see another Audi in my future. I just don't. Audi has gone 1 for 3 with me over the past decade. Those are not winning numbers.

I will miss it - the dream, not the reality.

Default I suffer too

This is my one car. If it is out of service, I am driving a crappy loaner and not the RS4 that I love.

I am in a place in my life where I no longer have multiple cars (toys and drivers).

If I am paying for an RS4, driving a 6 year old stripped A4, and worrying about the imminent failure of my RS4 everytime I drive it, then I am paying too.

I love the RS4. I really do. It is an awesome machine. I have had mine six months and 18% of that time has been in another car and a greater percentage of time has been driving this car and noting the clunking, bobbing, instability, misfires, hesitation and stalling. I have no faith or trust in the car.

That is huge. It really is.

That cannot be offhandedly dismissed.

Default if you read this forum, you already know the answer.

on the few occasions I've had problems with the car, I've posted about it here. A couple of examples come to mind:

here (which ended up being addressed by the fuel pressure sensor TSB), and...

here (was a defective radiator fan, replaced under warranty).

that's what us M3 owners thought when the e46 motors were fraggin'...and they were charging 20k to fix them...

then data was collected
distributed it to the automotive media
BMW took some heat...

the result:
refunds
future failures covered under warranty
a recall (SIB) to replace the suspect parts
extended 100k mile warranty

and there were 10 times as many affected cars...

all I'm saying, it's worth a shot...

Default AoA has to know we are disatisfied.

I don't expect Honda Accord reliability. I expect, and deserve, a lot more than I have received.

I am an Audi enthusiast. I drive Audi's because I choose (or at least chose) to do so.

you may expect more, but why do you deserve more?

unfortunately you only get what you earn or in this case, take, or make them give...

putting our auto fueled passion aside...this is a business deal, and they aren't going to give anything that isn't in their best interest (either financially or percieved PR wise)or they are forced to concede...

they have the $$$ now, it's difficult to pry ssome back...

ugly, but true, fact of life...
I wish we lived in a just and fair utopia, but gaza, iraq, christmas psycho santa, etc., seem to indicate, at least to me, that drc is a minor inconvenience at best...not a real problem...
