almost got myself into a little jam yesterday with the law...
On my way to the gym @ 5 in the morning, when out of no where a Dodge Challenger rapidly aproaches from behind. It was a nice car, tinted windows, sounded loud. We toyed with each other for about a mile at about 70mph (limit is 55). At the next light he started to hit his throttle. We both took off. We were side by side untill about 80 then I started to pull away. By 120 I was ahead by 3/4 of a car. It felt good to beat him, but, it didn't feel so good getting pulled over by the cops. I crapped my pants. It was so early in the morning and I never see cops out here. The cop approached the car and asked for my licence and then left to talk to the guy in the challenger. Five min. later he came back to the car gave me back my licence and said, "Have a great day." I couldn't believe it, but i wasn't gong to argue.
I was at the gym in the locker room when I heard a voice from behind me ask, " Who in here has a grey Audi?". When I turned around it was Hugh Douglas ( a ex-football star who played for the Eagles for many seasons). He walked up to me shook my hand and with a smile on his face said, "you owe me one, I just got you off the hook." Then he left the gym with out a trace.
Damm I was lucky...

well that's a good way to end the work week.
three of my best friends are cops, and they've always said 'the only people driving at 5am are drunks and fishermen.' obviously, neither you nor the challenger looked like you were going fishing, so i'd say you owe the karma gods a drink or three.

nice outcome...got pulled over myself at 5:30 am
driving to work one morning rolling through a stop sign in a mildly pimped-out BMW 328i. this was more than a few years ago 
on my way to surgical rounds and wearing my scrubs he let me go.
i think they just want to make sure you're not driving home wasted after a debaucherous evening.

Had a similar story with an SRT8 Charger...
except without the cops. Took him once at one light and then again a half mile later at the next light for a 2nd time. The guy had no idea what he was against.
