such as in stop and go traffic, when the clutch pedal is pressed, it feels as if someone is rear ending you? Hard thud from the drive train?

...i find it very easy to drive smooth. *knocks on wood* however, when my friend drove it all day (very competent driver), he just couldn't figure out how to drive it smooth.
btw: approx 3500 miles.

its hard to describe how to do it right, but its I know exactely what Der Kimbo is referring to. Its a low speeds, and ALL my manual cars have done it, the s4 did it, my old m3 did it (the M3 NEVER had a clutch problem), the 528 did it (no clutch problems), the a4 does it (no clutch problems), etc.

but with the random stick I had the other day, nope. They looked at it and the car was smelling pretty bad of burnt clutch and they did a couple of tests for slippage. Everything checked out. I tracked it on Tuesday and it did just fine, no burning smell or anything. Im not sure what caused the mishap last friday, but hopefully it wont happen again.
P.S. I even checked my floor mats and it wasnt that, the clutch pedal was fully out and the clutch was not engaged.
