It is quicker, there isn't a question about it, it's a faster car than either the RS4 and the new M3

Default Odd, some publications have the M3 winning to 60mph, to 100mph and to 150mph...

CandD
M3 0-60: 4.3
0-100: 9.8
0-150: 24.3
1/4 mile: 12.8 at 113mph
skidpad: .91
lanechange: 65mph

RS4 0-60: 4.5
0-100: 11.3
0-150: 29.2
1/4 mile: 13.1 at 108mph
skidpad: .87
lanechange: 61mph

Road and Track
M3 0-60: 4.1
0-100: 9.4
0-120: 13.6
1/4 mile: 12.5 at 114mph
skidpad: .98g
slalom: 71mph

RS4 0-60: 4.3
0-100: 10.7
1/4 mile: 12.9 at 109mph
skidpad: .88g
slalom: 71mph

That is surprising to me to see the 60mph times unless the M3 really isnt as hard to hook up as some might assume. Beats me. I dont think it should be surprising it is a bit quicker though overall as it has similar power, significantly less weight, and loses 10% less power to drivetrain loss. Regardless I agree the M3 drivers who really want the performance will have to be damn good drivers to make that car dance. Quattro is much more forgiving and can make a bozo look good (thank god for that, hehe).

Maybe so but the RS4 is better in the rain/snow than the space shuttle

Default it's all over by 100mph too!

0-60 and 1/4 mile is the true test. that's why both are universally used in measuring performance. rolling start is also important.

Gustav in the M3...serious?

Default An Rs4 does not destroy an M3. It throws out the anchor in 2nd gear

Great way to test the power of each car, & not which car has better traction/tyres/clutch/driver
