I had a stone chip repair done today and they cracked the windshield. He called it a "crack out" LOL. I can think of more than a few jokes about that...
Interestingly, the repair tech mentioned how rare it is when they fix a stone chip and it cracks. I'm 2-for-2 on crackouts with this car, which suits me fine! I love a new windshield. Not sure why this car cracks so easily.
Just have to be careful to watch the dude so that he doesn't scratch the paint when he's scraping the adhesive. That's a perfect way to cause a rust problem under the glass with subsequent water leakage.

Glad you got it fixed. Had a crack on my old 65 tripowered GTO driving from my air base in Shreveport to my folks in StL. Hit a rainstorm and a semi sent pebbles into my windshield. One major crack and I said to myself to note that I needed to etch it at the ends to keep if from spreading later (I always carried a pretty good tool kit in the 60s) and as I was saying that the whole windshield cracked from top to bottom.
