Default Dealer is saying that the brake pads AND rotors are rec. to be replaced together by AoA .. ?

I was told by the dealer that the recommendation is that I replace the rotors too when its time to replace the brake pads. Im at 25k mi with 5mm left on the front pads.

This is the first Ive heard of replacing the rotors just for the hell of it. Anyone else do this?

Default it depends. How much are the rotors worn?

they have tolerances as well. If they are still way above tolerance, i wouldn't worry about replacing them.

Sounds like BS to me. I don't think anyone else got this info from a dealer.

Default yes, AoA recommends you give them as much money as possible.

especially in these trying times.

Rotors are not worn. Dealer claims they are recommended to be replaced at same time as pads. Heh

Default Was same on the RS6, I had both replaced twice under the original free service that

existed before Audi Care. The rotors are very soft and get under spec quickly. Mine went each within 15K miles or less as I had two sets after 25K and before 50K miles under warranty, and another set late this year at around 65K miles...so they do not last long. Not surprised at 25K if RS4 is anything like RS6...along those lines I'm taking in the 6 for my second DRC fix after first fix failed after 6 months...
