I posted a while ago about a clunking noise coming from the front struts when I hit even a minor bump in the road. Finally had a chance to get to the dealer for a check up and they say both front struts are bad as well as the control valve. There is no longer any pressure in the system, which is causing the noise. This would also explain why the handling didn't seem as good as when the car was new. The system leaked over time, so i didn't immediately notice the difference in handling. I've had the problem for several months, but this is the first opportunity to get the car in for service and I'm 1 month beyond the warranty with 7,000 miles on the car. The dealer is going to work with Audi to try to get them to cover the repair. Quoted $4,400 for 2 struts and control valve. Ouch.

I don't plan to track the car, but am thinking about the Ohlins. From comments posted here, it seems you guys really like them. Any comments on the SL version vs. the original for street use?

Its worth taking a look at the RS6 forums to see what others have been saying about DRC failures.
I don't expect the RS4 to be any different.
