Default European Plate Holder Part Number

California requires Front License Plates, but allows the Front Plate to be in any form. I have a European Plate that matches the license numbering of the CA plate. Can someone tell me the part # for the European Front Plate Holder so that I can put it on? Otherwise, I will have to wait until the next time I am in France to get it, drag it home, & put it on, which will be a pain.

European Plate Holder

Default "but allows the Front Plate to be in any form"... Where did you hear that?

The way the code reads to me, you can't alter the government issued plate in any way, and it has to be affixed in the proper spot.
I don't have it on at all, but I just assume that eventually some bored CHP will hassle me for it...

Default i run euros up front

i've run with a euro plate on the front that says the same thing as the rear and have never been nailed. however, i do believe that you technically need the CA DMV issued plate up there and that i've just been lucky.

dunno if you've gotten one yet but i got my euro plate holder audi part from a UK shop called www.vagparts.com. buy it online and they ship direct.
