Fully tape area with painters tape. It is faily easy to get the tape completely around the reflector assembly but you will have to cut tape into small pieces to manipulate the corners.
Cover a LARGE portion of the car with paper or whatever to protect from overspray. Do not underestimate just how far the paint dust will travel. It is not unreasonable to cover the entire car although I had mine covered to just past the mirrors and over the entire top and that was sufficient. Make sure you seal all paper gaps. Paint dust has a nasty habit of getting uder openings an onto you car.
Sand reflector with 150 grit cloth. then sand with 400 grit paper to a smooth finish. Remove dust with window cleaner and allow to dry.
Apply two coats of Bulldog Adhesion Promoter. One "coat" for all discussions here is really about 4-5 back and forth sprays. Wait about 5 min between coats.
Apply 3 coats primer. Wait 5 min between coats. Allow to fully dry overnight.
Sand with 400 grit paper and remove all dust with a soft cloth
Apply 4-5 coats of the Paintscratch color spray. The paint can comes with two nozzles. I used the round nozzle. Wait 5 min between coats.
Apply 5-6 coats clearcoat laquer waiting about 5 min between each coat. Allow to dry overnight.
Remove all protective material. Be very careful around the painted area itself.
Apply rubbing compound and buff.
All materials were ordered from PAINTSCRATCH.COM and cost was about $70.00. You'll have to give them your color code and VIN.

but I wouldn't recommend using any less protection than what I had. Also, you will have some fine paint dust on the floor about 2-3 feet out. See post below.

i like the technique you used. there is an ultra-fine #600 sandpaper, which i have used after #400, but not really necessary.
multiple thin coats is definitely the way to go. proper drying time too.
anyway, very nice, Vijay...brings back memories.
