I have a 100 mile a day round-trip commute which includes some heavy New York City evening traffic. Would love an RS4, but would that mean I am refuelling every other day? Will a semi-sensible right foot get me 300+ miles on one tank?

Maybe 250 per tank, but I think 300 might be pushing it in the city.

Some days I drive it like I stole it and some like an old grandma. Depends on how I feel in the morning.

I wouldn't get any car with a $2,100 gas guzzler tax if I was concerned with economy, IMHO.

the kind of traffic you're talking about, 250/tank would be optimistic. honestly, you're probably better off with a A4 2.0T if you drive that much and you're concerned about the frequency of refueling.

10 city, 21 highway, 16.5 ave., 260 miles per tank.

freeway and local mix about 50% each, getting 16-17MPG average not too bad. 260mile tank.

Thanks, I commute in a Golf GTI at present, so that would be "more of the same". Was intending to trade the Golf and the Porsche (rarely driven weekend car) for a more lively daily drive.
