very well, better than any other tested oil in this motor, documented from the results of oil analysis that some of us have been performing on this car. I ran Amsoil for the first oil change and it performed very well too.
A lot of people will not run anything that is not Audi "approved", I simply want the best performing oil for the car. This one is it, IMHO. I also have changed the transmission and diff "lifetime" oils...
In my opinion you should also run the fuel additive from RLI, it reduces the carbon build up on the plugs and valves which seems to be an issue for some people on the forum...
I ran a test of 3,000 miles without using the additive. I installed new plugs and pulled them after the 3,000 miles, they did have a carbon build on them, I then ran the fuel additive for 3,000 miles and they were clean with a light brown color, it may have been driving style or some other factor or just the fuel additive... works for me and I have a low wearing engine with minimal carbon build and 42,000 trouble free miles...
Run what works for you, this combo is working for me.

which I find myself facing too. Save all receipts, note each change in your maint manual.
But if push came to shove during a warranty engine related repair, they would really only need to do a UOA on the oil to see what condition it was in at time of engine problem.

...got me to try it. After 2 analysis's on my RS4, I am seeing much less wear, much improved oil dilution and great cleaning properties. Syntec was just getting destroyed in this engine, and Amsoil European Blend wasn't much better. Now I have a true 10K oil (but I can't go more than 5K, it just seems wrong

I could not find RLI fuel additive on line. Could I trouble you for a link or more information?
thank you
42K no problems Congratulations. My ownership has been a bit bumpier.
