Hi guys, the driver side low and high beam stopped working and I get an fault message in the instrument cluster. I assume this is a high voltage bulb hence the questions:
can I replace it myself?
precautions to take?
Where do I buy a replacement?
Thank you

Not a lot of space behind the headlights, so you might have to remove the front bumper in order to replace the bulbs. Make sure you get high quality bulbs (I'm assuming you have Bi-Xenon headlights, so ones like Philips or Osram). Don't touch the bulb surface with bare hands as the oils from your skin can lead to the bulb itself shattering due to additional heat.

Hi there, there is a plastic cover in the engine bay, that was very easy to remove but then I can't seem to find a way to reach out to the back of the headlight to remove the middle bulb. Do you have to remove the headlight assembly to gain access and if yes how? I noticed two screws, one on top and one on the side, are there others that hold it in place?

This video talks about removing the headlight without dropping the bumper - don't know if you can make that work or not; most folks remove the bumper or have really small hands.

Thank you, yes, I found that video. Well, it's worth trying, at the end of the day if does not work = have to drop the bumper. I saw a video about removing the front bumper and it's a laborius process. I had a 90Q20V and removing the front bumper on that car was child's play compared to the RS4. And I have normal hands :-)
