OEM is around 4.25" from 1st to 2nd. so maybe it'll only take my mechanically-non-inclined self 2 hours to do instead of 4
after I drop a few pieces inside and try to retrieve them that is... in retrospect I guess it wasn't too hard of an install but doing it in the B5 was still a huge pita for me.

a new component stock that makes them a touch shorter OEM. I guess they stole our design! But...they didn't make an extreme change so there is still a 1" reduction is distance, which is *very* nice. And the bearings in there along with the B6/B7 transmission make it all so nice. -Pete
