Default HyperShift installed...

Just installed a new HyperShift short shifter in the car. Reduces the fore/aft distance by 1". OEM is around 4.25" from 1st to 2nd. I have to say, the shifter now matches the character of the car. -Pete, Stratmosphere. 1.866.533.1777

HyperShift for the B7 RS 4

Default almost identical installation to the strat B5 S4 shifter huh?

so maybe it'll only take my mechanically-non-inclined self 2 hours to do instead of 4 after I drop a few pieces inside and try to retrieve them that is... in retrospect I guess it wasn't too hard of an install but doing it in the B5 was still a huge pita for me.

Default Pete, what % reduction did you go with that makes it so butta?

I want!

I'm assuming 40% is not as butta as 20%...

Default It's on full. The new B7 S4 and RS 4 have...

a new component stock that makes them a touch shorter OEM. I guess they stole our design! But...they didn't make an extreme change so there is still a 1" reduction is distance, which is *very* nice. And the bearings in there along with the B6/B7 transmission make it all so nice. -Pete
