UUC Shifter was the first mod on my S4, guess I'll do the same on the RS4. Expect my order in the next week or two

I have all the tools... just wish I had the ***** to take apart my new shifter...

Like nashRS4, I installed the UUC on my 2000 S4 (ordered from Strat of course..) and it was a massive improvement over the stock shifter...in distance that is, but really pretty notchy overall--sometimes it was tough to shift into reverse and I had to select another gear first (and trust me I did adjust properly to minimize this).

So, my RS4 shifter currently feels pretty snick snack and sooooo muuuuch better than either the stock or modded S4 (although I admit the throws are a little long for my liking), that I am reluctant to change anything. I realize the UUC doesn't have bearings, so maybe that makes the diff. Convince me!!
