So I dropped it off at the dealer today, they gave me a loaner and are only going to charge me the diagnostic fee of 1 hour to figure out what is going on with it. Everyone there agrees that even if it is out of warranty there is absolutely no reason for it to be using 3 qts of oil per 1k-1.2k and they said they would fix the problem for me... I also forwarded this information I got off AW (you all) to the head mechanic to hopefully speed this process up.

Saki, What exactly does the PCV valve do?

Bank 2 drivers side cylinders are all scored causing the oil leak. They are going to replace the engine. Only problem is there are no engines to found in the US... Have to order one from Germany, could be a while before I get her back. New engine, new warranty? Sure hope so.

Carbon buildup broke off into the engine I bet from the intake manifold or valves. Good to see they are replacing this under warranty, sounds like you work with a solid dealership.

Yeah they are making me pay for 10 hrs of labor which i find totally fair. The car is not under warranty anymore. They also said any other work I want done they would throw in, i.e. clutch no labor but pay for parts... we will see how this all pans out. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for all your help... Lets keep our fingers crossed they can find a new engine in a reasonable amount of time...

I was thinking scored cylinder walls but didn't want to scare the you-know-what out of you...

Glad that they're taking good care of you. That's pretty generous of them.
