LI-S4 V1 concealed display just arrived.....
I just tracked my package and it's home waiting to be installed. I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure the fabrication is spot on. Dealing with Mike was great. He was always responsive to emails and provide great detail on the status of the fabrication & testing.
I can't wait to get home and install. I will post pics once it's in.
Question: What is the best way to remove the center console so I can mount the mute button under the shift boot?
Thanks in advance...

No need to remove the center console...
Mike installed mine and he didn't remove the center console. I would just ask him for some pointers on the install.

Spoke to LI-S4......
He said dropping the knee bolster and loosening the piece that runs along side the center console will make it easier to run the wiring.
I already ran the power so loosening the knee bolster is no big deal - sounds like this will be easy to install.
I'll post pics once I get it done!

Rich, you should be able to slip your fingers between the carped and the console
enough to slip the wire through but I prefer to remove the screw on the side of the console, which is what I do on the B5's and I believe I did on Fluff's install..this way you aren't wrapping wires around screw and you can do a very clean install.
I have a picture of the procedure on the B5 if you get stuck.
This is the next step for an install like yours..

While this one is a B6 A4 Avant, I did another install on another RS..we bought a new trim piece for this, mounted the audio controls as you see, and put the stock controls for the Home Security thing that is there (is that what it's called?) and mounted it under the dash as it seems to be a "set it and forget it" use.
It's full audio control and remote audio broadcast.
Or this...again, full remote control of Power, Volume, Mute and Mute Volume..
