Default Re: Normlly DPs offer bigger gains than the exhaust.

Yea, that's what I was wondering (Audi already using a high-flo cat for the rs4). Well, seems there's no good info on the DPs for the RS4 in terms of gains so I'm not going to spend the $2K. There needs to be clear benfit for spending that kind of money.

Yes, I'll get rid of the stock exhaust and go for the cat-backs. I always put the car in sport mode anyway. Why surprised? Btw, if you're thinking of modding a b7s4 vs rs4, I'd go w/ the rs4. I'd rather have an unmodded rs4 than a modded s4. The overall driving expereince just cannot be compared.

Thanks again,

Default I thought about this too.....

but at the end of the day an S4 is still an S4. Just like you can get 500hp out a Honda Civic motor too if you wanted. Plus the body work on the RS4 is much nicer, and the added traction of 255 width tires is something you can't fit onto the S4. Honestly, I have been modding cars my whole life, and I do get tempted even with the RS4, but so far I have been so content with it's overall performance that I just can't justify the cost of mods on this vehicle to myself.

Eventually, I know I will do some level of mods to this car.....that's just me.....but I don't feel the ned to rush out and change the wheels, tires, brakes suspenssion, exhaust, shifter, etc. I had bought the S4, I would be chomping at the bit to change out everything.

Another issue that has become an issue with me is VALUE. You get no money back on mods. $30, 40, 50k......down the drain. I don't want to do that anymore. I'd just as soon get a car that is "done" or close to it, that will hold its value on all its upgraded performance parts.

Default I agree, though one correction. With proper wheels 265 even 275s would fit the S4.

Wheels would need to be custom made with ET40-44 offset, 9 or 9.5" width.
