if the RS4 starts at 5500 rpm. It defies all laws of physics. I want one now. Call my dealer! Tell him I've changed my mind! Deliver that RS4 tomorrow! Then I'm going hunting for Enzos! Yea man!

Well, it's a little different...
There were B5 S4 guys that lived to troll the B6 S4 forum and talk about how sad the B6 cars were because they couldn't be modded like the B5. It was an obsession. But you won't see supercharged B6/B7 S4 guys here doing that at all, unless of course, an RS4 guy gets silly and says that his stock RS4 can beat a supercharged S4. Then he's probably gonna get razzed a bit. But other than that, there is much respect for the all around package that the RS4 is. Remember that this thread was started by an RS4 owner in good spirit.

I still say, bring a S4 s/c and lets have 10 runs from 50mph-100mph, driver picks whatever gear he wants to start, and my RS4 will finish ahead. prove me wrong.

Just ran my RS4 against wife a4 2.0T with Giac chip only..
same test from 3rd gear I'm at 2k rpm...She is in third at 2700...She pulled a C-hair to 3500rpm, then i walked her...
While I'm pretty sure the SC will walk the RS4...this test was biased against the RS4. THe RS4 has HORRIBLE acceleration below 4k rpm..I've been embarrassed a number of times when pulling on the highway i did not down shift and just floored it....wow it feels like a VERY slow pig below 5k rpms .from 2k to 4500k it can not pull a stock B7 S4, let alone a SC one, and that is from many pulls I have done....
Still, for 15 grand or so. I'll put one in for kicks....we'll see if it can pull my modena..i bet it can, at least off the line.......where it does well up to 40mph already
