Ok, pretty close to buying the Milltek, but I'm thinking of trying something a little different...

Default Perhaps it's the angle, but those tips look like slightly flattened Folger's coffee cans

and that's far from appealing.

Actually, I was thinking the mufflers looked like coffee cans.

The secret of the system is in the Folgers crystals.

Default i was thinking the same thing

they look thin and weirdly shaped. normally you'll have a chrome or stainless sleeve over the actual tailpipe. not in this case.

hopefully it is just the angle. the rest of the system looks very good from underneath.

Default Answers to your questions on GMG WC RS4 sport exhaust systems.

Guys

Thanks for the flood of inquiries.

The system shown is the prototype.

The system will have a finished exhaust tip with a beveled lip that will be fully polished.
Similar to what is shown.
GMG spec cross over pipe - with sport center resonator and 2 sport mufflers.

Systems are fully polished and tig welded made of T304 stainless steel throughout.

Weight savings 50% over stock.

I will have more information with a finished article and pictures as well sound clips shortly.

The sound is awesome! We have a few systems on test cars running around.
No resonance, the systems are tuned meaning that they sound right.
No rice rocket sound in the system.

More info to follow.

I will have one on a car at the shop if you are local you can come down and hear it as well as go for a ride.

I am confident you will love the sound and agree its the best sounding system on the market!!

If you have any more questions please feel free to call the shop 714-432-1582 or email me directly.

http://www.gmgracing.com</a

Default Awesome thanks... I'd email or call but I'm pretty sure I speak to most of us who are on the fence..

and deciding on which exhaust to get. I've been waiting for GMG to finish/finalize its exhaust for the RS4 before deciding b/t the Milltel and GMG.

Vids, Pics, before/after dynos, and any time table for release would answer the majority of the questions we all have

Thanks

Default Here we go again.... (wondering if the stock tips can be grafted on)

I would think that since the Magnaflow fiasco, the aftermarket would have learned NOT to mess with our beloved oval tips - an "RS" trademark!

Magnaflow = dual tips on each side ala S4, tubing size difference makes grafting stock tips very awkward. No valving option.

Miltec = good looking oval tips but quickly discolor.

GMC = pics aren't very flattering! No valving option.

Default My Milltek tips look like they did on day one (back in January)

Arguably, I clean them every few days with P21s wheel cleaner. . . If neglected, they would be black and unrecognizable.
