Okay guys, which way should I go... V1 or Bell RX65? Your thoughts...

I went with Bell RX65, for two reasons
1) Radar Roy explained in detail where the V1 failed at tests that the RX65 succeeded at, I found this evidence quite compelling given that he sells both products form his site.
2) It was recommended to me by another RS4 owner on this forum who knows his ****.
I have had it for over 3k miles, and I have never even had a close call. Not even once.
The directional arrows of the V1 are nifty, but frankly, what difference does it make? If you get a Ka band alert, you need to slow down as safely as possible and as quickly as possible. Does it make a craps worth difference?
Often times the cop is so far up ahead or off in the distance that arrows are meaningless.

That doesn't say much empirically. Can you speak to the disparities in the RR tests?
I mean its graet that you're happy with it, but.. if you're starting fresh, why not chose the one that is rated as being better?

Both are good units and will protect you well
Choose the one that you like based on ergonomics. Personally I like the Beltronics STi, because of it's shielding and the voice alerts it provides.

V1 - you can't really understand how great the arrows are
until you've used them.
also, depending on your location i've found that disabling X band is a very smart thing to do - too many false alarms.
