Okay guys, which way should I go... V1 or Bell RX65? Your thoughts...

October 2006 Radar Detector test (I personally think these guys do a great job)
And there don't appear to be any special interests.
Basically, the Bel is good, but the V1 rules. Throw in the arrows and I don't think anything else is worth it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.guysoflidar.com/radar-detector-test-fall-2006/radar-detector-test.html">Test from Guys of Lidar</a></li></ul>

Then you need to 'adjust' it and play with the settings a bit (including the undocumented)
There are a bunch of settings not in the manual, that are listed on the V1 site, under tech support.
Its really an amazing detector

here is how mine is mounted...
others have nicer remote display installs, but this works fine for me.

only problem is, you still need to have the main V1 body stuck to the windshield...
...with clear views front & back. so no matter how slick the remote display installation is, you have that brick by your mirror. worth it tho, cuz it works so well.

Thanks everyone for you're input! After hours of research...
I ordered a V1. Reasons...
1) Consistently #1 or #2 in many tests.
2) EASILY upgradable
3) Letting you know if you past the threat or not.
4) The most hard core laserheads swear by it.
Now, for the laser jammer. I'm thinking LPP...

Arrows are key to determining if there is truly a threat...
Once you understand them, and used in conjunction with how quickly you are approaching the signal, it narrows down exactly where the cop is, and therefore if it is truly a threat.
Keeps you from having to slow down for every alert.
It's a bit bulky and ugly, but it works, and that's what's important.
