What about the ride in the S6? Several articles have complained about the harsh ride. Driving these cars back to back, how would you compared the ride to a stock S4 (not RS4) that also has conventional steel springs. I know the S4 was not part of the current cadre of cars you drove, but I assume you are familiar with it.
I have an S4 Avant (B7), love the car but need more room and am considering the S6 as a replacement when this one goes back. The S4 ride is a bit firm, but I don't think brutal. If the S6 were comparable, I would be fine with it.

Having just been behind a CLS63 AMG for two stop lights with no one in front of us, I can verify that it's a tad faster than our RS4's. I didn't have ESP off until the second light, but I gave it a pretty competent effort for that one. By then, he knew what was behind him and really gunned it. 0 - 120 our car loses by a few lengths.
