Default True, but......

In straight line, on dry pavement, once you've hooked up, the driveline loss with AWD is a hindrance. That's why the RS4 does so well against other cars up to the 70-80mph mark, then succumbs.

Of course, on the street and in the twisties, you will be driving at speeds in which quattro is a total advantage.

Bottom line....the RS4 will excel in more varied conditions than the M3. RS4 is a better real world vehicle. M3 is a little closer to a pure race car. Depends what you need and want. Both cars rock.

when both cars reach their top end power at speed, AWD is a hindrance, yes. but i would up your number well beyond 70-80.

Default Well I was being sarcastic but I disagree on your 2 years old chassis design for the RS4...

Like I said it is more like 6 or 7 years old.

Default Wasn't really referring to the chassis design specifically. More just the fact that.....

The RS4 was released in '06 and the M3 in '08.

Shouldn't that 2nd quote end with "when driven by Car and Bimmer" (See I learned to spell)
