True, but......
In straight line, on dry pavement, once you've hooked up, the driveline loss with AWD is a hindrance. That's why the RS4 does so well against other cars up to the 70-80mph mark, then succumbs.
Of course, on the street and in the twisties, you will be driving at speeds in which quattro is a total advantage.
Bottom line....the RS4 will excel in more varied conditions than the M3. RS4 is a better real world vehicle. M3 is a little closer to a pure race car. Depends what you need and want. Both cars rock.
